Goodman Games embraces Call of Cthulhu!!

1st- Goodman continues to get my gaming dollar. 4E now CoC. All over it like a fly on horsepoopie :p

2nd-Chaosium had some serious tax debt to the U.S. Govt to pay off over the course of many years, and this obviously has hurt production. I blelieve they still are paying it off. Considering the incredibly tough spot they have been in and still have survived after all these years, they must be manned by some seriously dedicated hard working people.

In addition this recent bad news I'm sure will make things more difficult .

Chaosium has well known issues as a company....so this is smart way to get steady support for their flag-ship game (and the nice n' easy BRP system).

For Goodman, its all about the retro...makes sense to me. Of course, they have to do a decent job.

I do wonder if they will go for a more "pulp" feel...whih I would see as a good thing.

Get it. It's a massive gazetteer of world locations (mostly real, a few purely Mythos-related) that can be used in CoC locations - or other games set in the real world that focus on uncovering ancient ruins and other places with mystical significance.

And it works great as a source of ideas for fantasy worlds, too.
Sounds intriguing... unfortunately, my German is rather pathetic.

Maybe it will be translated at some point, like it happened with Dark Ages.

I thought I would no longer be a customer fter Goodman decided to go 4E, but with this CoC stuff it looks like I will still be buying some things from them.

With a name like Brown Jenkin, that comes as no surprise. ;)

I'm in much the same boat, although I'm going to wait until I see the actual product. I hope they go for the retro CoC "look" of somewhere around 4th-5th edition. I seriously don't like the current CoC design ethos. Too ding-dang hard to read, and doesn't have the period flavor!
