I loved those books

They were excellent, the memories come flooding back.

I couldnt put them down until the last chapter of the last book.
which i re read several times just to make sure i wasnt dreaming.

:( grrr

oh well had to finish one way or the other i guess.

BUT I did love 99.9999999% of the whole series.

Salut!

Appreciate the good words for the Gord yarns, and thanks very much. My son Luke, then a teenager, would often stand over my shouder and wait for me to finish a page of the ms. I was working on, read it as slowly as he could bear to so the wait for the next wouldn't be excrutiatingly long--back then I was still typing, not entering material into a computer, fool that I was.

Anyway, the contract for illustrated versions of the books isn't signed, but it's a 90% plus likelihood at this time.

Each novel will be done in installments of comic book size and format, with excellent artwork in full color. Where necessary, the story will be moved forward with text directly from the novel proper. When the bok is cmpleted in installments, the publisher will bind the separate parts into a whole hardbound edition.

We should have word about the finalization of the agreement in a few weeks time.

Cheerio,
Gary

Can you reveal who the artist is yet (I'm guessing not, and that you will need to wait for the contract to be signed but I am so curious I thought I would ask anyway.)!? ;)

I have to admit I had a similar reaction. The ending left me...vexed.

Hi Flexor,

You can probably find the books on Ebay auction website.

We are close to closing a deal for the books to be done as illustrated novels--more about that on these boards when the deal is signed

Gary

Hi Gary,

I've seen various sets and individual books on E-Bay, but I'm not sure which ones to get. I understand Gord delt with Grazzt and other demon lords and whatnot and I'd love to read the books where you detail that kind of stuff. Of course I'd like to read them all, but stories dealing with the abyss and similar topics would really be great reading and campaign material.

Hola!

The order of the Gord books is:

SAGA OF OLD CITY
ARTIFACT OF EVIL
CITY OF HAWKS
NIGHT ARRANT (+ the short story in DRAGON #100)
SEA OF DEATH
DANCE OF DEMONS
COME ENDLESS DARKNESS

The last two deal muchly with nether beings ;)

Cheerio,
Gary

You da' man!

Thanks a lot. If I picked up the last two would I be able to read them with no knowledge of the other books?

Yes, you could follow the action well enough, but the scope of the epic would be lost. If you are mainly looking for material of inspirational and informational sort on the Abyss and demons, though, why not?

And Proudft, right you are! Somehow I always get those two messed up in the sequence

Ciao,
Gary
