got Wilderlands?

I got mine at Gen Con.

I would imagine that they'll have to do a second print run on this badboy. I think once word gets out about this product, they'll sell out quickly.

Well, if it sells well, hopefully they can do it. I've heard some complaints on the Necromancer board that the maps are labelled incorrectly. Can anyone here verify that? Things like instead of Tengel Manor, Kengel manor or some such along with other issues.

I read that as well. I guess there were some errata that JG had published over time that didn't get included in the maps. The maps don't have labels on them anyway, so I'm not sure what the big fuss is about. I certainly don't think it diminishes the value of the product in any way shape or form.

With a product that size, some mistakes were bound to creep in. But I haven't run across anything so far that is worth fussing about. I still maintain that this is one of the most amazing RPG products ever created.

Considering the number of maps involved, some mistakes did slip in. Some of the other things that were complained about were simply design choices that Clark had to make to reconcile some previous inconsistencies.

The maps match the books.

Tegel Manor should be located where it is marked "Kegel" on the map, a source of major embarrassment in all honesty but certainly not any sort of real problem in using the material. You have to remember that the few people that complained are some very, very hardcore JG folks ...

Everyone at Necromancer that had anything to do with the boxed set is proud as hell of it.

Thanks, but, well, let's just say that it is extremely unlikely this will ever be done again.

The printing costs for something like this are insane, and as a campaign setting it doesn't have a huge draw. There are also problems with distribution for a boxed set (boxes get crushed, etc.). Yes, there are some rabid fans for NG and JG products, and some hardcore gamers here at ENWorld but these still aren't enough to merit a re-print.

In addition to having to sell out completely, we'd have to have enough firm demand to merit a re-print. With the costs and shipping risks involved, we'd have to be talking pre-paid orders here, and a LOT of them. Reprints for something like this simply don't happen often in this business anymore. Core rule book-type material, sure, but not, material like this.

I'd suggest ordering a copy or 10 now, but hey, I might be biased. :)

I'll probably spring for the PDF when available. (the 19th, I believe). Hope it is errated.

Yes thats what I'm getting too. It was one guy who didn't see some of his notes used, and got a little stinky about it on the boards.

What the're talking about is sorta like somebody 25 years down the line trying to ressurect the Forgotten Realms, and accidentally reanaming Shadowdale as Shady Dale. No biggie.

Can't wait for my Widerlands to come in!
