GotG Could become franchise

I've never been a comics guy and the first time I ever came across any mention of Guardians of the Galaxy was in the context of this film being in production, and all I know about it comes from the trailers I have watched and then a couple of quick Wikipedia searches in response.

Nevertheless, I'm really keen to see it based solely on the trailers... even thought the Wikipedia articles made me very thankful that I never became a comics guy. The movie looks like it could be fun and I have generally enjoyed the films made by Marvel.

As a comic book girl I have to say I would love to see a cosmic bunch of movies in space... if they could get f4 rights back and see a good silver surfer/galactus story would rock.
