Grammar & Capitalization rules?

Thanks Gabe. I used to capitalize spell names but stopped when I saw that Dungeon & Dragon magazine didn't do it. Same with magic items.

I often capitalize spell names to distinguish them when writing in a medium that does not easily allow for italics (e.g chats and the like).

Actually, that is just a grammar-school rule (appropriately enough) that is incorrect in actual formal writing. It is perfectly acceptable to begin sentences with 'and' or 'but' - one simply shouldn't do it too often.

And for that matter, it shouldn't be an issue. But then again, it usually is.
