Hello,
My players tend to like to find things that gives them "addtl partial actions". I know there is a difference from things that give you "extra attacks" (sword of speed, expert tactician, etc) which could be very powerful by giving you two extra "attacks" from these two examples. My question comes from new books coming out that gives you "Extra partial actions". (I am aware that sword of speed and haste don't "stack" but what about things that give you an extra partial action (magic item or a spell, etc). A player in my game found a feat (I don't know where exactly) that gives you one extra partial action for every four level per session. That sounds like a made up feat, but to me isn't ridiculous as the song and silence feat (expert tactician) is "similar" only giving addtl attack. My question isn't about the differnece between things that give extra "attacks Vs. Partial actions". But they are similar and could come into play together so I bring it up. Its still a lot of actions per round. Even if limited to "attacks". But when somehing gives you "extra partial action" to me is better than attacks. He can cast up to four spells a round! Five if he took quicken spell. Im sure eventually other spells will come out that also give "extra partial actions" Does this seem right to any of you? Thoughts?
(Example)
Standard action
Move action
Free action
*hasted action (addtl partial) -PHB
*battle tide (Addtl partial action) -Mof (He has his cleric buddy cast this on him).
In this example I just casted three spells in one round, four if I used quicken spell feat. FOUR spells in one round.
*This is ignoring the feat he has to give him yet ANOTHER "extra partial action". That would be FIVE spells in one round.
