Grappik, answer some questions about the BoEF art?

Butte Hole Surfer
This is a second attempt at giving Grappik a place to answer questions about the BoEF art. If you don't have anything to say about the art of the book, please don't say anything else.

Thanks

Grappik,

I finally got my copy of the book and for the most part I really like the photo manips. There are only a couple that don't work for me:

p.34 - the Satyr: the forest just doesn't look real.

p.36 - the dragon just looks...odd. More like a raptor from Jurassic Park...

That's it, though. The rest are really good.

There's a dragon in that picture???? Oh, yeah, there is one, you're right.

You are right, the dragon looks odd.

Glad to hear you like them for the most part.

Since this is one of the images I worked on, I can tell you about it. The forest in the background is real. And most of it is unaltered. Just a strange forest, I guess. I actually haven't seen the image in print, so I can't tell you anything more about it until I get my copy of the book. Which hopefully will be soon.

I will post an update here about this when I get my copy of the book.

I didn't work on this image, nor have I seen it. So I can't really tell you anything about it. However, I can say that There are several types of dragons out there, so maybe it's one you are not familiar with. Again.

That's it, though. The rest are really good.

I can't speak for all of the people that worked on this book, but I can say that I am glad that you like it for the most part. Sorry I couldn't respond more, but without the book here to look at, I am flying blind.

LOL. As I understand it the authors are still waiting on their copies as well. Why is it the authors and artists are always the last to get their copies? :)

Thanks for the response, though. The satyr pic...the more I look at it, it isn't the forest that doesn't look real to me, it's the fact that the forest and the satry don't mesh very well. But that's a minor complaint, really considering how much I like the rest of the illustrations.
