great alignment debate, redux

2. what do you think the key differences are between a Chaotic Good PC and a Chaotic Neutral PC?
"Good characters make personal sacrifices to help others...People who are neutral with respect to good and evil have compunctions against killing the innocent but lack the commitment to make sacrifices to protect or help others. Neutral people are committed to others by personal relationships. A neutral person may sacrifice himself to protect his family or even his homeland, but he would not do so for strangers who are not related to him." PHB, p.104.

That about sums it up.

he's a bard.

they do have some alignment restrictions.

i think he is worried about group harmony. the why would these guys roam together kind.

:heh: You're right, I missed that. Somehow I saw 16 year old 6th level Fighter and mashed that together with the gnome bard. Either way I got it wrong.

Bards just have to avoid becoming Lawful, so there's a lot of room to grow.

If you're worried about group harmony, make concessions so you can be in the game. If you really want to stick to your CG guns, initiate conflict within the group. That could be very interesting, as long as your group can handle it.

It's an interesting concept if you bring it into the game. How much are you willing to compromise your morals so you can be part of a group?

edit: I think I totally failed my comprehension check. Are you trying to stay neutral?
