Great Cleave and Spring Attack

Just some silliness we were discussing here at work.

If you have Great Cleave and Spring Attack could you....

Tumble into a group of creatures (assuming you make your tumble check successfully) hit one and drop it, then go through continuing your Great Cleave and when it is done then tumble back out away from the mess.

Thoughts were that Spring Attack lets you make one attack and then move, but wouldn't the attacks from the Great Cleave be considered part of the first attack still?

The idea is to do the above manuever and then use quick draw to pull out a reach weapon for when the now ticked of critters come after you.

Whatcha think?

Cleave attacks are part of your regular attack, thus they are "free" attacks. Using Cleave or Great Cleave during your Spring Attack is perfectly plausible.

You should be able to use Tumble during a Spring Attack, as the only difference between a Spring Attack and a standard Move/Attack is that you move the Attack action wherever you want, either before, after, or during the move. My only question is this: If your attack is during the middle of your move, meaning you move both before and after, should that require just 1 tumble check, or 2? I'd be inclined to say 2.

I would think two as well since you stopped and did something before movign again.

IE the creatures have a bead on you now and can try to swing again.
