Ooo. The box in that pic looks bigger than I imagined based on the front-shot of the amazon pic. I wonder how deep it really is - that could be hard to keep on a DVD shelf. My DS9 complete set box is like that. The thing is huge.

I wonder if the disk quality is going to be bad, on the B5 big set about 8 of the disks were bad.
Who's to know? Certain sets just have a bad press run of discs. Like the Gladiator disks had a problem in some areas as did the Back to the Future sets. If they are the same discs as the ones already made, just packaged differently they may not run on certain DVD players. I know that my S1&2 sets wouldn't play on my old DVD player but they work just fine on my new one. I had to watch them on my PC initially.

That is quite a box. Probably won't fit on my DVD Shelves. Crud.

Bah! Just use it as an end table or gaming stool. ;)

I actually have a shelf just for oddly packaged DVDs. My Freaks and Geeks "yearbook" set is there along with the weird Schindler's List SE, DS9 uber-box, Tool DVD box and Evil Dead flesh box.

From the look of things, not much of anything would.
I know, I've got some straightening up I need to do. I should probably start thinking about trimming down on the number of VHS movies that I have too. I do not have much more space in my room for further dvd/vhs shelves. Crikey.

What no LotR gift sets? I would have thought those to be irresistable to you.

My problems are books and comics.

I've been lokking at this standpoint myself. I am not really a comic conniseur, but I can see how it would be easy to get into. It isn't as expsenive to jump into it and start saving the newer ones as it is to acquire older ones. But I am seeing a poosibility in it of enjoyment and a return on it later down the road. Of course, almost anything that has value, can turn down this path, but I need to start looking at possible cheap investment opportunities.

Speaking of, where did you get that one?
I bought it off ebay. They are imported but they play just fine and all the discs have the special features and such. Cost about $150. The only disc missing is the extras from season one but that's ok.

Here is one wall of the collection.
