Bless my collar button!
Feller me lad!
Ju-das Priest!!
What kind of Kack-handed idea is that?
Arf a mo', gov'nor.
Pull my finger!

My NPC's need to say colorful things like this. I figure with the geographical diversity of this group, there might be interesting catchphrases we can pick up to make our NPC's (and PC's as well) a little more unique. Anybody got any to share?

Sir Osis of Liver:
Great googa-mooga!
I guess it's just geographic differences, but around my neck of the woods, it's "Great Googly Moogly"

and then there's:

holy hannah
shiver me timbers
blow me down
Great caesar's ghost
Arrr matee
tis a fine lad/lass
ayeEE
oiyeee vay
ummm
like...
hella
roight (no- the O was not a typo)

recently heard in west tennessee or in the ohio river valley:

well butter my butt and call me a biscuit

beats a sharp stick in the eye

what IS your major malfunction?

nothin' doin'

says who since when?

let's hope thats hard as my day gets

shaw! (substituted for a no in disbelief)

ain't my tizzy (none of my business)

only and if'n! (highly improbable)

i say it form here to the river (an oath:"it's the truth, i say it from here to the river")

good lord willin' and the creek don't rise

sheep diddly if it ain't

good enough for who's it for

I think the Buffy/Angel episodes offer a heap of colorful phrases. For instance:

"Witch-fu" Buffy says to Willow after she casts a spell.
"Sire-whipped" Vampire slang
"Five-by-five" a phrase Faith uses often
"What's the sitch?" Buffy asks
"That's fairly freaksom!" - Oz
"Battle Strattitude" - Giles
"Bucket of funny" - Xander
"Hello Salty Goodness" - Cordelia
...and finally "Grind your organ - I'll be your monkey" - Loren
:D
