D&D 5E (2014) Great Weapon Master and Versatile Longsword

Can you use the -5 attack,+10 damage feature of the Great Weapon Master feat, while using a longsword as a two handed weapon, thanks to the versatile trait? The long sword is not listed as a heavy weapon though.

Has this been sage answered?

No you cant.

This could be balancing issue if their are ever 2handed finnesse weapons.

Having a 2handed weapon with dex as attack stat and "power attack" would be dumb and overpowered.

I don't think there is a sage answer on it, because the answer is pretty straightforward... the longsword is not a heavy weapon.
