Greater Flurry w/o Monk levels?

vociferate

First Post
Just trying to figure out a way to take greater flurry without taking monk levels.

my build is:
Barbarian (wolf totem) x2
Fighter
Swordsage x2
Shou Disciple x5
swordsage for the rest

any ideas?

I am flurrying with a martial weapon because of SD, but I really want to squeeze out an extra attack from greater flurry.

I have seen it argued that a monk6/SD5 gets greater flurry--so I may just have to go this route. I would still get my improved trip after all. Maybe martial monk variant? hmm...

Don't know about getting actual greater flurry, that's probably monk-exclusive (and IMO, should be). There are other things you can do, though. For examle, use your barbarian levels for the rage variant, whirling frenzy. That basically gives you a flurry option with ANY weapon (as written, even ranged). Class Feature Variants :: d20srd.org

With your Swordsage levels, grab Flashing Sun or whatever the name of the level 2 Desert Wind maneuver is that lets you take an extra attack, with all at -2 penalty. Take the tiger claw boosts for extra attacks or Pouncing Charge if you can, too. Take Snap Kick feat possibly. Won't be greater flurry, but it'll certainly make a long attack chain.
