Greater Magic Fang & monk [2002 Thread]

I would allow it to be permanaced, but the first wizrd with Dispel Magic that came along....

Look up Bracers of Striking in S&F. Much better solution.

lol, Dogma was funny. But it would be kind of weird seeing a monk whose hands are covered in electricity. Oh, and what bonus is Sure Strike(ing?) I've heard that's it's +1 and some that say +2. Do you still need the +1 enchantment bonus to have Sure Strike? Is it in the DMG or S&F? I really want to know how this enchantment works.

The Sword and Fist Sure Striking ability no longer exists. (It was a +1 that allowed you to overcome damage reduction of anything up to +5, which this edition doesn't have.) It was reprinted in the Player's Guide to Faerun, and it was clarified for the new edition. Now, it's a +1 weapon ability that allows the weapon to count as a Holy, Unholy, Axiomatic, or Anarchic weapon for purposes of overcoming damage reduction.

Eh? What the heck?! I just noticed the dates on this thing. Who the heck goes and replies to a thread from five years ago, just to say "qfmft"? (I only have a vague idea of what that even means.)

...I just realized that he wasn't even replying to anything from this thread.

What is going on here?!

What would be funny would be allowing it... but having the mage that did the enchanting forget to tell the monk that there are two command words - one to turn the Fire/Frost/Shock on, and one to turn it off

Zap on, Zap off, Miyagi san!

As an aside, AU/AE has a feat called "Hands as Weapons" that lets you enchant your natural weapons, etc. as if they were manufactured weapons...and I haven't heard any complaints about it being unbalanced.
