I thought I would bump this question. I really would preorder it now if it would be made available.

It's not available for pre-order. We'll announce it when it's made available though and it shouldn't be too much longer now.

I'm not a GR person, but from what I've read in various postings, the principle behind Osseum [the company in question] is in the wind (I think there was a mention somewhere that a PI couldn't find the guy). Lawsuits are expensive; if the defendant is MIA, there's no way you're going to get any money out of 'em, so it's also futile. If your company is in financial danger, spending money on a fruitless lawsuit would be counterproductive.

Got it in one.

The above is dead on. I am not willing to let the matter go, as PCI was harmed in the exact same way as GR. But we have an eye out for our chance to pursue the matter, as either a civil or criminal matter.

Was his company not Incorporated? The whole thing stinks. I am sorry it happened GR has produced some great stuff and their stuff is always allowed into my games site unseen due to their thoroughness and competent staffing.

Sell me on medievel, Grump. Not a review, just tell me what makes it worth getting. I like the blurbs, the concept sounds great, so tell me why it is good/worth getting.

If this is the Medieval Player's Manual I'll step up and say this book was all sorts of good, the alternate magic classes, especially the Cunning Man who specializes in contructing folk charms have found their way into my Legends of Excalibur games.

It's a really, really fine book, makes me envious ;)

Not that GR hasn't done that since *cough* Thieves World *cough*

Hmmm, I do not know when the sale ends, but just to make sure I purchased a few items today. (Including another print copy of S&B, after raising a fuss about the PDF I thought that I should add to the copies that I will have around the table... :p the Freeport Trilogy and a second print copy of Medieval Player's Manual round out the order.)

The Auld Grump, hope Gen Con went well for you folks.
