I don't think it can; IIRC, whatever wins Game of the Year can't also win Best X Game (Best Roleplaying Game, for M&M).

Yes, that's correct. I'm not sure which is worse, going up against big licenses like Buffy and Lord of the Rings in the Best RPG category or against three clicky games in Game of the Year. Any way you slice, we're very happy with the nominations though. The field this year was tough.

Congrats to everyone at GR! It would have been a travesty if Mutants & Masterminds hadn't been nominated. It's also cool to see Freeport get recognized. There's no sourcebook I've used more in the last year.
