[Green Ronin] Podcast: Episode 1

Regarding the sound quality, the intro music was a bit too loud and I could not understand a word Chris said during it.

We noticed that too but unfortunately not in time to fix it before Chris had to leave for England. It was either go with it that way for the first 'cast or wait until after GenCon, as Chris is on the road pretty much constantly from now until the 20th. Not much good having a podcast about our great GenCon releases if it doesn't go up before GenCon. :)

If you guys do add it to iTunes, PLEASE don't remove your regular feedburner address from your site. Too many podcasters nowadays do that, and it excludes everyone who uses older (and better) software to receive podcasts, like Lemon.

<--- uses iTunes for other things, but thinks the podcasting portion is just terribly done

We're going to leave it accessible in as many ways as we can, so there will always be a visible link to the Feedburner feed on our site. (More visible than now, even.)

And it's now searchable in iTunes (and browsable soon, presumably) for those who do like to get their podcasts that way.

Liked the podcast although I would have liked more than just discussion of upcoming products. I understand that this podcast is about GR and it's there to serve as a marketing piece but too much of that and it will sound like pure advertising. I'm sure you have more to say than that. Tell us what games you're playing. What you like and don't like and why. take reader questions. Talk to us about how much the fans grate on your nerves and how they're all just a bunch of unapreciative whiners. Tell us where you see the hobby going in the future and why. DON'T tell us about how you can't discuss this or that project. I :):):):)ing hate that. If you can't talk about it then don't even mention it.

There is no shortage of topics. Chris, you did a very good interview on 2d6 feet a while ago. Give us more of that.

In total agreement with everything said here. This podcast sounded like one big advertisement and left me little cold. The WOTC podcasts tend to do the same thing but those guys feel like gamers and their energy and enthusiasm comes through in their podcast. Lack of enthusiasm was the biggest weakness of this podcast, on the bright side the shill might have worked, I'm thinking of picking up both the Freeport AND the Paragons Book.

I feel for you. So many stories about finishing editing and finding one little glitch . . .

For a first episode, the problems are minor. Listen to a sampling of first episodes, it'll make you feel much better about your efforts.

Welcome to the wonderful world of podcasting. Loved the first episode. I'm a subscriber now.

Well then don't listen to All Games Considered. There's a guy on that podcast that sounds like he's bored, annoyed and about to fall asleep. I listened to the last 4 episodes and gave up. Who want to listen to that?! Also the guitar riffs they use are awful.

Actually Chris Heim cracks me up. He personifies laconic and/or sardonic. Certainly not for everyone. AGC is one of the podcasts I subscribe to, so it works for me.
