Green Ronin's Advanced Players Manual?

Stone Dog

Adventurer
This book has just recently been released on PDF from RPG now and since I am not going to be paid for another week (pft, hunger. damn human weakness.) I am hoping that one of their other, more financially able fans might be able to spoil me on how everything looks in there.

Any takers? Any one?

Are you looking for what the book is like, or specifically what the PDF is like? I have the PDF but I literally got it ten minutes ago and really haven't had a good chance to read it yet. But any specific questions I'll be happy to answer as I'm looking through it.

wow, it has alignment points that can better keep track of actually what alignment players are but also makes alignment much more useful.

Thanks Crothian!

What I would really like is a table of contents, but any sort of rundown would be sweet! The alignment points are interesting, and I am curious as to the other five classes that they haven't previewed on their website yet.

Chapter 1: Abilities: THis is mostly on a new ability called luck. It is interesting and allows for a better reason on why things happen to the PCs then just becasue they are PCs.

Chapter 2 Races: THis chapter has a point system of race constructed to create balanced races. It is an interesting idea that I nee3d to really look more into.

Chapter 3 Classes: Eldritch Weaver, Evangalist, Scout, Spellmaster, Thanemage, Warpriest. And it has epic versions of them all.

Chapter 4 Skills: No new skills, but more uses for the old ones as well as good expandings on them. Like blance checks for creatures of different sizes.

Chapter 5 Feats: Only 11 new feats, but some interesting ones like Rapid Sniping that allows shooting from a hidden position with a full attack action and hiding agian (at -10) in the same round.

Chapter 6 Descriptions: This has the alignment system in it,

Chapter 7 Mass Combat: Needs a good read before I can form any opinions. It is a bit less then 40 pages long.

Chapter 8 Spells: This is the bulk of the book at about 80 of the 225 pages.

Appendix 1 Pshycic. This might be the one presented in the Psychic Handbook, I don't recall the details of that exactly but they look close. It also has a section on customizing pshycic abilities.

Appendix 2 Sample Units: THis is for the mass combat system.

That point system sounds like it would be handy for a planehopping game or just making your own truely fantastic setting with whatever race has been floating about in your head waiting to be born.

Shame that most of the classes seem mostly magical. Or are they? Does the evangelist have spells? Or the warpriest? It would be interesting if they didn't.

The alignment system still sounds the most interesting out of the set. This does sound like something I would be better off spending money as a PDF rather than a full priced book.

Thanks for giving out a few previews!

Very interesting. Any more details ont he psychic? Is it the same as the Psychic's Handbook, an expanded version, or something entirely new?
