[GRIM TALES] Creature Creation

I was reading over the Creature Creation rules last night and I just couldn't seem to figure something out. When you buy HD for a creature how do you know what BAB and Saving Throw progression to give them? I didn't see a build cost that differentiated between the three BAB progressions and good or bad saves.

Then again, maybe I just missed it.

Hit Dice and Save progressions are established by creature type.
The progressions are presented in the MM.

I don't recall off the top of my head if they are in the SRD or re-printed in GT.

(The Creature Creation spreadsheet will do this function for you ;) )

Edit: It is in the SRD

I wasn't sure as the creature types have a cost associated with them (for thier sundry abilities such as resitances and such) but made no distinction in their ability to hit or save.

Do you use the good/poor saves from GT or the PHB? Those are on different scales.

Monsters use the PH scales. The cost for saves (as well as BAB) are hidden within the per HD cost of the various types.

Of course if you ALSO give the monsters char classes, then the GT class scale saves are built into that value.
