Cool! Gore didn't invent global warming, he just popularized it as a topic when he gathered together people showing more hard fact than was typically displayed in the past.

So the long and short of it is that, yes, I'm right to be concerned.

I 100% believe in TANSTAAFL. That's not really the issue, for me. I certainly understand WotC's desire to protect their brand and their revenue flow. But I think it's stunningly short-sighted to remove or prevent 3rd party support for things that your customers genuinely want, unless you offer a product to fill that need. There is a considerable desire for many of these products...and WotC appears unwilling to fulfill them (or to fulfill them in a timely fashion).

In other words, while I understand and appreciate WotC's desire to protect their work, it irritates me that they aren't there to take my money for a product I desire. I fear that DDI will turn into the next e-tools.
