[GSL] Who's In, Who's Out?

Hello Zachery,

It looks like their Living Arcanis campaign remains 3.5.

I'd like to clarify this point. When we launched Living Arcanis' first story arc, we promised a 6-year story arc and we are following through on that promise. This year at Origins will be the final Year Six mods that comprise the finale' to that story line. Frankly the only reason LA is still 3.5 is because I didn't think it fair or proper to make people buy new books and convert just to see how things end.

Therefore once Origins is over, that will be it for 3.x and PCI. Next year's new story arc for LA will NOT be using 3.x and instead be run using our own Shattered Empires RPG.

Best,

The changes to the GSL don't change our publishing plans at Bards and Sages. Frankly, at this point if they went with an identical license to the original OGL version, it wouldn't change our plans (at least for the next year). Our resources are split between continuing to support our customers that continue to play 3.5 and our own Karma Roleplaying System. At this late stage in the game, we couldn't in good faith restructure resources to a third game system and expect to do it well.

Hello,

Any previews available to view of the system?

I don't want to hijack the thread, but to answer your question: we don't want to detract from the LA finale' at the moment. You'll start to see previews of the new system probably by January of next year as the Shattered Empires RPG is slated for release Summer of 2010.

Best,

Skortched Urf' Studios is still OUT of the 4e GSL. We will definitely be supporting the Pathfinder/3.5 rule set as well as Traveller. I am open-minded about doing 4e products in the future, and very glad WOTC adjusted the GSL to remove the worst of its provisions. Sadly, the whole thing seems to be too little too late; they handled the entire GSL in such a ham-fisted way that I think it has hurt player adoption of the system. Time will tell.

It's been a week and the response is quite underwhelming than expected, I'm sure there are lots more publishers out there but I'll just compile a short list just to keep this thread up to date.

Signed In for the GSL
1. Necromancer Games
2. Reality Deviant Publishing
3. EN Publishing
4. One Bad Egg
5. Final Redoubt
6. Expeditious Retreat Press
7. Goodman Games

Anymore? Only 7 companies are in since last week?

And the last 4 of those were already in.
