Guilty Pleasure Movie 2

Darthjaye

First Post
Okay, so we've seen this thread more than twice but it's my second time putting this particular title up. I did one last year, but there's been a whole year for you people to view a whole buttload of new movies. Now's your time to chime in and, old or new, refine that list of yours.

My new one to add that I did not list last year:

Harold and Kumar go to White Castle. I've seen it before, but it seems to always hold my attention no matter how many times it's on. It's cool that they have a sequel on the way out next year too.

Some of my guilty pleasures:

-Queen of the Damned
-Equilibrium
-Soldier
-xXx: State of the Union
-You Got Served

Guilty enough for yah? ;)

Considering I think Equilibrium and xXx: State of the Union are among the all-time worst movies ever made list, you're guilty enough to get the chair :p

Harold and Kumar doesn't quite hit the status of guilty pleasure for me. It's fun, but I've seen it a couple times and have had my fill.

My latest guilty pleasure is Deep Rising .

Bloodstone: Subspecies 2
Miss Congeniality
Sorceress (1982)
But I'm a Cheerleader
Dune (1984)
Lord of the Rings (1978)
The Hobbit
Lord of the Dance (DVD of show, not technically a movie)

How's that for choices. There should be something there for everybody to be disturbed by my choice in movies. I realy do like all these movies and will watch them multiple times.

I think I may have just poked my own eyes out..........

But seriously, here's a few more choices from my bin this year:

The Cave-Not so bad as I was led to believe. Actually not bad at all. Entertaining for the most part.
Foolproof-Ryan Reynolds "caper" movie that's actually quite good.
Dark Blue-Kurt Russell as a bad guy movie that was pretty good.

That's it for this post. Just figured I'd start this thread to see what's out there I haven't heard of and what's worth giving a second glance at.

The Cave was much better than expected. The plot was nothing special, but the setting was exceptionally well done, and the technical aspects of filiming should have gotten somebody an Oscar.

Foolproof was a happy discovery -- I'd never heard of it, but it came on cable after something else I'd watched one day and it turned out pretty good.

Alphabetical list...

Bad Boys
Grosse Point Blank
Herbie: Fully Loaded
Sahara (this was better than I thought it would be)
Serendipity (pretty funny for a romantic movie)
Shrek ("I have to save my ass.")
The Princess Bride
Tomb Raider
Top Gun (its being played on SpikeTV a lot)
Wild Wild West (the movie, not the TV series)
