D&D (2024) Gunslinger Class (from Valda's Spire of Secrets) on DnD Beyond!

Just some guy
I'm in a campaign with someone playing this class right now. It's a lot of fun. Feats, spells, new weapons masteries (a first, I believe), and lots of guns included. Six subclasses.

Can you provide some more details? I'm curious how this compares to Matt Mercer's take on it.
It is its own class, not just a fighter subclass. It is big on DEX, d8 hit die, focuses on increasing crit range, uses maneuvers with a pool of risk dice (dodge rolls, blindfire, etc), and has its own unique weapon masteries (automatic, scatter, explode, etc). It comes with a suite of weapons, feats, and spells. The firearms are divided into Renaissance, Industrial Age, and Modern. The class has fun stuff like Quick Draw, Gut Shot, and the capstone is sick--Head shot lets you auto-kill an enemy on a crit if they have less than 100 hp (otherwise, extra 10d10). The subclasses are Deadeye, High Roller, Secret Agent, Spellslinger, Trick Shot, and White Hat.

Does it work just fine with Renaissance only weapons? I have a player interested in playing a gunslinger in Eberron (see the thread here) and I don't intend to make firearms a big part of the setting.

If you want to advertise your new class on Beyond just do it. Also 15$ for a couple of pages is really steep. I'd rather cook something up myself or look if I can find other third party content which isn't trying to get my money quite so shamelessly.

You can find the class on Mage Hand Press web site along with the new firearm rules and a few subclasses. While I love renaissance level guns in my DND I just don't think. They need a whole class, also the firearm rules make it feel like you are far better off just using crossbows or the core firearm rules and not the new ones they add.
