An angiogram is a method of using X-Rays to find blockages in blood vessels.

Angioplasty is the use of a very tiny baloon that is inserted in the blocked blood vessel and inflated, pressing the plaque against the sides of the vessel walls and widening the channel. It is a relatively non-invasive form of surgery, being inserte on a tube through a small cut in the blood vessel.

Oh, that. This time last year my father was about to have that operation, but it turned out he needed an open-heart surgery. Any way you look at heart conditions, they're a bitch. (My dad's in great shape now).

My thoughts go out to Mr. Gygax. Hopefully your recovery will be as good as my dads.

Best of luck to the man. He mentions warfarin. I wonder if Gary was switched to this generic from the brand name Coumadin recently. My work in the pharmacy field tells me that such a switch is asking for trouble.
