Okay my friend is planning on making a (Gold) Half-Dragon Troll (Ya the dm is allowing this yet will nto allow the lance/charge combo) for his next character, and say's he is immune to nearly everything and can't die basically from physical damage. Below is a list of what he is using to pull this off. Can anyone find any bugs in this to prove he can be killed.

The one thing I see is that fact that he onyl absorbs 30 points of acid damage around. So please write a large lsit of thigns that can drop this. Thank you!

Troll Regeneration;
-3hp/rnd
-always subdual damage
-acid/fire affect normally
-attack forms that ignore hit point
damage ignore regeneration.
-immune to coup de grace, massive damage

Half Dragon (Gold);
-Immune to fire damage

Ring of Elemental Resistance Major (Acid)
-absorbs first 30 points of acid damage with this item

Hmmm. Desintegration comes to mind. But his Fort saves are probably going to be sky-high. I'll bet he'll be quite subject to mind-influencing spells though. If he keeps getting help, he wont die, but he wont be able to do much damage either...

Invincible? I think not ;)

Well, what level of opposition do you expect him to have? Any 20th level wizard or sorcerer will be able to squash him easily, and a 20th level fighter would just pound him unconscious and drown him.

According to the DMG, as 1/2 Dragon/Troll has a +11 ECL, so with one class level he would be a 12th level character. Is that what your DM is using?

If you consider a 12th level wizard, they could target the ring with a dispel magic and then use the feat Energy Subtitution: Acid and hit him with a few acidballs or a cone of acid.

Or just cast distintigrate and be done with it.

He is not immune to ability score damage, energy drain, or death effects (implosion, disintigration, Slay Living, etc) - even if these things do not permenantly kill him they will put him out long enough to get his ring off.

To say nothing of enchantments and domination effects.

I just got off the phone with him, He also added Iuon stone (spindle) so he needs not eat or drink, also adding ring of sustanince.

Besides things like desintigrate, and removing the ring it seems kinda annoying to find away to do it. What about drowning him?

we all are level 11 currently so hthis is the level he is allowed to make up to, would he not be allowed to do it til 12th though since he isn't actually planning on having a class level when he starts out?

Also the dm throws thigns on average agaisnt us of atleast CR 12-14 per mosnter 2-5 monsters all flying 3 out fo 5 times.

It won't take long to rip the guy down to negative hp. Sure he can keep regenerating, but by then you can take that ring away, then pelt him with acid spells.

And unless he's got a really bitchin Wisdom his Will saves will absolutely suck, on the order of +1 or so, so Hold Person will nail him to the ground.

And of course you could always give him some RPing situations. Penalties to CHA, INT, and WIS, combined with being obviously a monster, and he'll never get in to see the Duke. :)

He's more annoying than dangerous. At 12th level (only 1 class level), he'll have less than 20 hit points (assuming big con and d10 dice here). He'd be dropping in the first round, only to reappear 2 rounds later with 3 or 4 hit points. If you're playing 20th level pcs, he'll be 8th level. His saves will suck except FORT most likely and ANY spellcaster should be able to find a spell that takes reflex or will and put him out of commission. Also, since it's so easy to knock him unconscious, those rings will be gone before he even wakes up.
