As long as I'm not the guy with the camera, I'm a happy clone...

Then you obviously haven't tested enough R&D devices in Paranoia! Always fun when you go through a number of clones just trying to get the latest horrifyingly devastating device to work. Even more fun when it results in wiping out most of the party. (Said plasma gun featured in an adventure. I "accidently" disharged it from the back of the party, wiping them out but gaining great kudos for myself when reporting back the terrible firefight with mutants that I had survived! Pity the next time I shot it ,at enemies, it blew up, taking me with it.)

That's the funny part, no matter what type of R&D device I had, it usually did more damage to the party then to me, not counting the times that it killed everyone...

Hi guys. I'm thinking of doing a d20 conversion since it's been ages since I played and it'll be easier to make a conversion then to relearn all the rules. Work is killing me at the moment, but I'll post asap.

Whenever you are ready... As you noted before, with Paranoia the rules are really neither here nor there, most of the interaction is the players trying not to get termination warrants against them (while trying to get the same for other players before the warrants are used on them!) Ahh sweet backstabbing, nothing makes a clone's life sweeter than everyone else dead and no one to gainsay his story of heroics!

Agreed, Ghostknight.

DrZombie, I actually did a very quick and dirty Paranoia conversion a while back - can post if you'd like.

That would be nice. And I totally agree, paranoia is pure roleplaying, rules don't matter much, wich is why I'd like to use D20, since I know'em , they're pretty easy, and they don't intrude too much. Just so you know, no AoO-five-foot-step-combat-maneuvring and all that, OK?

Here 'tis.

As I said, it's very quick and dirty. The Weapon damages are a little weird because I tried to simulate Paranoa's damage table, which is a little hard with HP. Easily simplifiable if desired.

I don't reccomend point buy for Paranoia.

Anyway, yours to use or shred :)

Edit removed, then uploaded a new version after Ghostknight's comments, below.

Uploaded the wrong version a few minutes ago - I had tweaked the Armor ratings in the more up to date version, now posted above.

Heh, cute conversion, with 6HP combat is going to be even shorter and dirtier than in the original!

A lot of extra work for the DM though in the deciding if extra skill points get allocated etc. From that point of view I think that xp could be use, maybe 3 or 4 skill points/level and no other benefits (maybe BAB as a commoner as well?) Original Paranoia did have character advancement (although how many times did some poor clone ever get to use it? I know that I only ever had one clone (ok, all 6 iterations used) that survived three adventures. Other players hated him, they never lasted more than one adventure.
