Half-celestial and spell-like abilities

Hi there,

can anybody tell me if the spell-like abilities (MM, page 213) of a half-celestial / half-human Paladin are based on his class levels or his effective character level?

So would a half-celestial/ half human 5th level Paladin have all spell-like abilities up to 5th level or up to 5+race-adjustment ?

AFAIK, it's based on class level (or HD maybe). ECL is only used for starting equipment and XP.

Character level. A half x (celestial, fiend, elemental, pudding pop, etc) uses it's character as it's hit dice,.. because uh.. that's basically what it is.


Least that's my understand of it.
