Half-creatures

I don't see a problem if a DM posts in their game he's using 3.0 rules. The problems would come when a player moved from that game to another. Spells would work different, combat would be a bit different, different feats, etc.

How does this look for the half-ogre? I made him +2 ECL and added two levels of giant to him. I believe this is the correct proceedure for doing something like this now. Please help me out if I'm off target.

Half-ogre

· Size: Medium

· Special Qualities:

· Giant Blood (Ex): For all special abilities and effects, a half-ogre is considered a giant. Half-ogres can use magic items with racially specific powers as giants.

· Darkvision (Ex): The half-ogre has darkvision to a range of 60’.

· Ability Adjustments: +6 Strength, -2 Dexterity, +2 Constitution, -4 Intelligence, -2 Charisma. Half-ogres are as strong as an ox and about as smart as one. They are also slow and ugly.

· Hit Dice: +2d8 hit points. Half-ogres are naturally tough.

· Base Attack Bonus: +1

· Saving Throws: +2 fortitude save

· Skill Points: 2 + intelligence bonus per level

· Automatic Languages: Common or Giant

· Favored Class: Barbarian

· ECL: +2

Now, just to be clear:

A starting half-ogre fighter would be an effective level of 3. (fighter1 + ECL+2 = 3)

He would have 2 feats. 1 that all starting characters get, plus 1 that 3rd level characters get.

He would have 2d8+1d10+(con bonus x3) in hit points.

He would get 2+int bonus x4, for the first level of half-ogre, then 2 + int bonus for the second level of half-ogre. Then 2 + int bonus for the level of fighter.

He would get +3 fortitude saving throw for the 2 levels of half-ogre, then +2 fortitude for the first level of fighter.

Does this all sound right?

FEATS

1 - 1st Giant hit die
2 - 1st character level (3rd hit die)
3 - Fighter level 1 bonus feat (For Fighter class Half-Ogres)

Can you summarize all of this so that I can send it to my player?

You get a feat for the first level of giant hit dice and the first PC class? Can you let me know where that is. I'm not 100% up on this part of the rules yet. Thanks.

He doesn't get it for first PC class, he gets it for 2 monster + 1 PC class levels = 3 levels. I think that is how this works...
