Half-Ogre player character

The one in Savage Speices is a little better balanced. We have two half-ogres in our group and they are great melee fighters.

The one, is a HO, with a Spiked Chain, and all his feats are based around Attacks of Opportunity, thus to even get close to him he gets an AoO most of the time. He is very very good at clearing out large groups of attackers.

I just started a Races of Destiny half-ogre, and worked with my DM to build it over my first four levels.

Level 1 (Fighter 1) -- +2 Str, -2 Int, -2 Cha, 60 ft. Darkvision, +2 natural armor, Giant Blood, Languages: Common, Giant.

Level 2 (Still Fighter 1) -- +2 Str, +2 Con, +3 natural armor

Level 3 (Fighter 2)

Level 4 (Still Fighter 2) -- Large size (-1 attack, -1 AC, 10 ft. Reach, -4 Hide, +2 Str, -2 Dex), +4 natural armor

So at 4th level I'll be Fighter 2, ECL 4. Seems to be working well so far.

The 3.5 Half-Ogre can be located in Races of Destiny. Essentially the same one as seen in Savage Species, except the LA is now +2 instead of +1.
