[Halloween] How many Tick Or Treaters?

First Post
We kept a tally on a check sheet. 111 exactly. One Hundred and Eleven. We passed out two bulk-size bags of name brand mini-bars (Snickers, Milky Way, Almond Joy, M&Ms, Hershey, Twix, S'Mores, Kit Kat, 3 Musketeers, and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups), with six left. That's around 350 pieces of candy. A few less than last year.

None! Which is a wee bit depressing, but we didn't have any candy for them anyway. That's what you get for living in an apartment complex in a college town.

Demiurge out.

We probably had a good 40 or so, which was pretty good given the rain we had today. Looked like it was going to be a good day too.

2. my neighbors' daughters. Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella ( 5 and 4 years old)

the rest of the kids in the 'hood don't like to have to walk down the hill in the cul de sac.

We had probably about 75 this year. It has been getting better as more house have been built in our newer part of the subdivision. The front half of the neighborhood gets hundreds of kids and they set up huge displays and give out hot dogs and stuff. We in the back do not get as many, as their is about a 40' section of the main road with poor lighting that some parents try to avoid at night.

In our old neighborhood, a historic downtown area, we got around 150 or so per year, even though only us and the house across the intersection decked out for the holiday. Our last year there, we did a haunted woods (I loved having a yard that you could do that in) and the other house did a haunted tunnel in the front yard). I miss that here.

My wife tells me we had around fifty trick or treaters. I was taking my little guy out, so I wasn't around to count. I did notice far fewer houses participating then in years past.

About forty or fifty.

Noteables:

1) Adorable little girl with her brothers who got so excited she almost forgot to get her candy.

2) 5' 10" slattern dressed as Brittney Spears. Her companions were a genie and another girl who I didnt' even bother looking at for fear of a lawsuit.

3) Some girl who was talking on her cell phone while she held her bag out. I yelled at her and said she lacked class. That got a laugh from her friends.

4) Two Napoelon Dynamites.

5) NO boys without costumes! Some lame ones, sure! But it was 100% costume on my block. Everyone had at least a mask or camouflage and toy gun.

6) No dungeons and dragons themed characters, unless you count the fairy princesses.

7) No Harry Potters. That surprised me.

8) I seem to have misplaced all the Butterfingers my wife bought for the kids. Wonder what happened to them?

A good Halloween all in all.

Probably 50-75 or so. We didn't count. But, we didn't stay all night; we shut down shop and went to a Halloween party at 7. We also live on a cul-de-sac, so it's a bit out of the way. I saw lots more kids out on the regular street. In fact, I took the kids out that way while my wife watched the house, and then we swapped after I'd gone up a few streets and come back.

A little something I forgot to add to my first post.

What are the parents of children under the age of one, doing collecting candy for them? We had one mother, who lugged her infant baby up our steps, and held out a bag. My wife asked her what the baby was dressed as, and her response was "a boy". The baby girl was sporting blue blanket.

Another guy, left his child in the stroller and came up the steps himself to collect. My wife asked if there was a child in the stroller, and received a terse "yep", as he walked away.

Pathetic.
