I was a disappointed with the "big announcements". They're six months off at best, and we'll have to pay for most of them I imagine.

I would think with Gears of War just released, Halo 3 would be a bit redundant...or at least, not so desireable so soon.

The PS3 and Wii come out this week. It does not surpise me that Microsoft/ Bungie made this public now.

Honestly, there are better first person shooters than Halo. However, I really dig Halo's mythos and characters, so I plan to get it for the story if nothing else.

*sigh* Is it bad that I hope Master Chief and Cortana can be a couple some day?

There are more intricate games, but I think Halo's improvements make it a great FPS. Adding in the story and such and it puts it top of the list for me.
