Handle Animal and Wyverns

On of the PCs recently killed two wyverns and took an egg from their lair...if the PCs are going to use the wyvern as a mount or a guard, what are the rules for this?

I assume it's handle animal, but where can I find the DCs and things? Does a dragon count as a beast?

Well, no. It counts as a Dragon!

Handle animal only allows you to rear animals or beasts. But you could take leadership and have the wyvern become your cohort.

Technically you can't, because a wyvern's type is "dragon", not "animal" or "beast". But to hell with all that, I say. I'd just use the beast DC, based off the adult creature's HD. It's not like a wyvern is one of those thingies that B.A.D.D. gets all agitated about.
