Happy days are here again! (and they're only slightly demon-ridden...)

I'm all excited. After a limping to the finish of a long, dragging, near-disastrous Star Wars campaign that almost broke up the group, we've taken a couple of months break, and tomorrow we start a brand shiny new campaign! Back to D&D, running the Savage Tide adventure path (we're going with the prewritten campaign so that real-life complications can't mess up my adventure preparation as badly as it did last time)

We've got a penniless but politically ambitious wizard, a disgraced dwarven dragon shaman, a Charisma 8 half-orc scout who is both the most principled and second-smartest character in the group, a dim but well-meaning ronin samurai, and a cleric of the God Of Callous Bastards Who Only Look Out For Number One.

I'm really looking forward to this. It's been too damn long since we've been able to delve a dungeon, bash some stuff, and fear the power of colour spray. The zombies, kobolds, the worgs, and the 1st-level evil rogues look all shiny and new.

For all the doom and gloom around here recently (and I've spouted my share), it's worth remembering that if the game can make you this eager to roll some dice, it's still doing pretty well. This is going to be great. Wish me luck!

Agreed, ST is a blast, definately enjoying playing my Archivist/Dread Necro :D Now if only I could convince my group to meet twice a week so that there weren't such long breaks between play times (we generally play 4 sessions or so of the mercenary campaign I run then switch back to ST for a few sessions, makes for slow going but gives blarg a chance to play a PC)
