Here's a character than I use to play in an AD&D 2e campaign that ran for 3 years converted to 3e. Books used were the PHB, DMG, M&M, and ELH.

Familiar Benefits: Grants master Alertness feat (when within arm’s reach); master can share spells; master has empathic link; master can scry on familiar.

Elf Traits: Immune to magic sleep spells and effects; +2 racial bonus on Will saves against enchantment spells or effects; low-light vision; Search check within 5 feet of a secret or concealed door; Martial Weapon Proficiency (composite longbow, composite shortbow, longbow, shortbow, and longsword) as bonus feats; +2 racial bonus on Listen, Spot, and Search checks (already figured in to the statistics given above).

He looks pretty cool. I would comment on his Epic portion if my book was here yet.

I do wonder at how many attacks per round he gets?
 


Now I understand why people would like to buy Epic Level Guidebook, other than for the ability to revel and battle with the gods. I'm sure that many of the players who have been in the hobby for a longer time will be able to bring their 2nd edition characters into 3rd edition... but I still ain't buying it!!! :D

What was Ra'Chel originally? (Obviously he wasn't always a Deepwood Sniper.)

As for being played up from first level Harin was. I used him in a Forgotten Realms campaign that lasted for 3 years real time.
