D&D 4E Has 4E killed the Rules forum?

First Post
Ever since 4E was announced, the Rules forum has slowed to a murmur - there only seems to be about 1/4 to 1/3 the amount of replies and new threads that there was before the announcement.

Have people given up on 3.X already?

Keep in mind that a lot of people would come to the Rules forum not to discuss what the rules are, but to discuss what the rules should be. A vast majority of that type of discussion has moved to the 4E forum.

But you are correct that traffic here seems to have slowed down a lot.

It's not dead, just stunned.

I find this forum generally more useful and productive nowadays. :)

I second that.

We'll probably be at it again when the rules encyclopedia (or whatever they call it) hits the stores.

Thanks,
Rich

I only really started reading the boards a few days ago since 4e was announced; it wasn't intentional, I simply became disinterested.

And since we've been bloviating about how we think things should work for 7 years now, and almost as much as they do in House Rules, I imagine a lot of folks are hushed with anticipation to see what changes have been implimented.

I can only speak for myself, of course, but I absolutely have lost almost all interest in discussing/debating 3.x rules. I'm not exactly sure why that is, but it happened the moment I heard the official word that 4e was imminent.

Kinda the same for me. I mostly come here to see what is going on with the rules I may not know. But my interest has waned quite a bit since 4E was announced. The problem now is my interest in 4E is waning also, so it looks like the General Forum it will be for me.

I'm still hanging around the Rules forum to help answer people's questions and learn at the feet of wiser rules gurus than me. And the occasional goofy sidetrack, of course.
