Try Beyond Monks by chainmail bikini games.

The 3e tower website also has a martial artist class, and hong should be along to hork his at any time...

Definately Beyond Monks, totally melee class with power comparable to a fighter. No supernatural or spell-like abilities at all, just pure damage-dealing smackdown. (although Gargoyle said that under playtesting it is just a little bit less powerful in melee than a fighter, but whatever). And its a PDF, only 5 bucks.

I want to further throw in my support for Beyond Monks from Chainmail Bikini. The Martial Artist core class there is versatile, and meant to be crossed over with other classes. It's exactly what people looking for an answer to the restrictist Monk want.

Bah. Never would I stoop so low, never I say, as to mention that I have a martial artist class right on my D&D page, with accompanying feats. Nor would I be as base as to slip in the fact that it featured in issue 7 of Asgard magazine, now available for download. No, I have far too much dignity for that.

Hong "not a pimp" Ooi

I have a wide range of martial arts feats in my campaign, many of which reflect the monk martial art abilities - in my campaign world the Fighter class is sometimes used for martial artists - e.g. a 6th level human fighter (martial artist) might have the following feats:

Unarmed combat (1d6 damage)
Iron Fist (base 1d8 damage)
Circle Kick
Flurry of Blows
Roundabout Kick
Jump Kick
Scissors Kick

Another might have

Zen defence
Zen archery
Weapon Focus (bow)
Weapon Specialisation(bow)
Point Blank Shot
Rapid Shot

All the details on the web page in my sig.

Beyond monks and Hong both give good alternate martial artist class alternatives to the monk. Beyond monks is more flexible than a monk but has certain class powers built into it (finishing moves and surge, basically a sneak attack and rage variant for martial artists) while Hong's is even more flexible/customizable like a fighter with fewer hit points different feat selections and uncanny dodge.
