Has anyone ordered from Deep Discount DVD?

Recently, I learned of the web site Deep Discount DVD which, as the name implies, offers DVDs at very low prices (with free shipping, no less). On initial inspection, it looks like a very good way to get DVDs for cheap.

Now, although I try to remain optimistic about most things, a little caution never hurts every now and then. I started this thread to ask if any other ENWorlders have done buisiness with this site, and what their expiriences have been like. Is the site as good as it seems, or are there unpleasent surprises I'll discover if I purchase from there?

I've only ordered from them twice so far, but I've had no troubles or "suprises" from them in either instance. I know that FCWesel orders from them frequently and he hasn't had any problems either.

Perhaps he'll swing by this thread and make some recommendations...

But as far as I know, there's no "catch." It's a great site.

D.D.DVD has been pretty good for us/to us. orders are prompt, though it helps that they are in the same region (NE Illinois) as I am.

Like all things, look around...be a educated consumer. Check and compare it to Amazon, who i also have never had an issue with.

I've ordered from them 4 times in the past year and haven't had a problem. The DVDs have arrived on time, although I choose the free US Post Office shipping.

I ordered from them once, and had no problems. I'd use them again if I was ever going to buy more than 1 DVD at a time.

Hmm, I just might have to go with them on a few things... I notice they have the Witch Hunter Robin collection for pretty cheap, not that that's out yet.

I love it! No Problems thus far for me or for any of my friends who use it.

Well, one problem. My frind didn't read that it wasn't out yet and so said the rush delivery not realizing that doesn't kick in till after it has been released and they have it in stock!

So from thier side no issues or problems, but one point for the stupid people

DDD is by far the most respected DVD etailer on the internet.
You will get a few people who say they've had problems, but they've had hundreds of thousands of satisfied customers, myself multiply-included.
Even when they don't have sales, they are usually the cheapest, and when they do have sales (like the 20% of coupons), they are amazing deals.

i've used them quite a bit, and a very close friend of mine uses them a heckuva lot. no problems with them at all. in fact they've been known to bend the rules on returns (at least for my friend), and have a very good track record with both my friend and myself when it comes to customer service.

i would also take a good look at columbiahouse.com if you're looking for discounted DVDs. in addition to their great startup offer, after becoming a full member their sales are exceptional. you can regularly pick up DVDs for under $10 each. of course they don't offer free shipping, but by comparison, even with their per DVD shipping charge they often still work out to be cheaper than DDDVD. for example, right now they're offering 3 DVDs for $25. their selection is nowhere near as good as DDDVD, but well worth a look, i think.
