Saw it, loved it.
Critics are full of crap as always. yep, there is sexual tension (of a sort) between Peter and Wendy. What did they expect? Thats part of the story, him having a crush on her etc etc. People may not want to deal with it, but most 12 year olds have those kinds of feelings.
Yea Peter does have a certain..look to him. But that is also part of the character...again I point you to the "Pan" in Peter Pan. Also I think its partialy the actor...he just has that look. But to say he appears "aroused" through the whole movie is just silly. If he was, we would know it considering the tights lol.
And so they showed a couple kids with no shirts and a fraction of a second of her brothers behind. Big freaking deal.
Now yes there were implied adult physchological themes implied especialy toward the end. But yet still again...that is part of this story. And it was very subtle. There was nothing even remotely objectionable in this movie.
I thought it was excellent. Fun, good effects, lots of nice themes (some of them pretty advanced) running well developed through the story. I especialy loved the " I belieive in Fairies" part...showing how even though we must grow up...there are some "childish" things we must never let go of.
my only complaint is it could have been a bit longer and let the characters develop even more. But I think I've just adjusted to LOTR...
