There is nothing quite as enriching as meeting people who think about things and talk about them rationally with you, whether they agree or disagree with you. :)

Kami

I disagree!! ;)

But mostly I like coming here in the hopes that some day...I Nightfall will be as famous as Crothian. But I doubt it. :p

EnWorld opened my eyes to a lot of misconceptions I had from cruising the WotC boards.

Not to judge WotC boards, but Enworld forums certainly have a lot more posters who I find myself "in-sync" with, who also happen to be very helpful. ;)

No. ENworld has instead drained out all my creativity and potential, leaving me an empty husk. I came to the forums knowing everything about d20, and left knowing nothing.

So, to all you guys who gained gaming skill from ENworld: Give it back!

;)

Slife,

Drink more coffee.

Thurbane,

Yeah we are the elitist of D&D. We are elite enough to know that listening to the constant complaints by 13 year olds isn't the way we want to talk about D&D. :p :)

Instead we listen to the complaints of 30 year olds. Not much of a difference, is there? :)

Absolutely. I had almost no DMing experience when I found ENWorld (right before the advent of 3e) and reading about others' experiences let me avoid the standard mistakes novice DMs make.

Yep! But probably more for opening me up to the opinions of others than any actual "material" help. Before ENWolrd, I was just kind of into my own gaming group and didn't really discuss much outside of that. Because of ENWorld (and also the WotC boards) I met other gamers, broadened my horizons, and began to take notice of my fellow gamers.
I went to GenCon this year expressley to meet the folks I've "known" for so long and had a blast at the ENWorld games I played at (Thanks again all); more so than the "sanctioned" games.
So has it made me better, yes, a better person. Thanks to all of you, whether or not we agree, whether or not we have ever actually met, whether you even realize it, you've changed me for the better, and hopefully, I you as well. (okay, quit playing the sappy background music - SHEESH!) :)

Well less use of the "leet" phrasing for starters. :p :)

Shil,

I thought it was the whole "Hey now I can laugh at someone else from behind a computer screen!" ;)
