In honor of psion, I'll think of something inspirational to talk about.

As for review censorship, the only things that get censored are reviews that are too short. You're supposed to Review the book. If you just want to post a quick comment about how you liked this or that, or hated the whole thing, well, then post a comment, not a review.

They delete reviews that are too short to be informative.

They're not kidding. I've seen reviews of ~5 sentences that were deleted. Generally, they're from people trying to change the ratings - almost always a 1 or 5, usually standing out (2, 3, 2, 1, 3, 2, 5).

Even if they weren't there to boost/drop the scores, though, themicroreviews are pretty useless. I'm glad they're removed.

I think a lack of good English education has a lot to do with the poorly written reviews. There is a right way to do it if you want to be comprehensive about it, and few reviewers seem to make an effort towards those kinds of reviews.

Getting and keeping in touch with gamers across the world is a great way to exchange ideas. I doubt any DM that visits here has not gotten his money's worth equivalent of a $20 splatbook, or much much more. Which is a good reason to support the site--although accepting something besides Paypal might help that even more. (Note: I am not a community supporter. I'd like to be, but I don't like Paypal).

The Story Hour forum alone can entertain for many many hours of reading. The Rules forum here has straightened out many a Sage's ruling. And if all that isn't enough, the Plots & Places forum is a good place to get help with your next adventure plot, or share your latest and greatest plot ideas.

Personally, I could use with less fluffy posts on these boards (like this entire thread) and more crunchy stuff that I can take ideas from. The abundance of OT posts have really turned me off sometimes too. But overall, I enjoy turning on my computer and joining a message board filled with input from the many ENboardmembers.

helpfull forum +2

I usually check the forums about 3 times a day, with a good hour around midnight.

There's a lot of game clarification that goes on here, and in a world as complex as D&D, having a couple hundred minds work things out helps.

Also, the art section is pretty good.
