Yea, I know, Starman - I'm already running two games and playing in almost a score others... Still, I miss that around the table action! ;)

You know, I'm in two face-to-face games now, and neither one of them is near as much fun as my PbP game, actually. It's kind of frustrating.

And that does look like a cool program.

Wonder if each player would have to own their own to be able to play? From their messageboard I would say yes, which is disappointing as I think the DM should allow players to join the table, giving them rights to the game and purchase extra seats at the table if needed. Something, on the lines that basic package would give you a DM and five gamers, if you want extra chairs, you have to buy package X. While you may never need 10 people at the table at least you would not have to have new players always buying the software but I guess that defeats making money from it. :p

There appears to be a cheaper version, "Fantasy Grounds - Lite License" for $19.95, which contains the LITE version of Fantasy Grounds. With it you can:
  • Join games as a player
  • Create characters locally to take with you into a game session
Doesn't sound like an unreasonable price.

If you want to run games as the Gamemaster, you'll have to get the full version of Fantasy Grounds, though.
