Has YOUR Arcana evolved or is it merely unearthed?

AU was a nice read and had some pilfering potential, but I never really used it, so I think I'll pass this one up.

I've got the new book, but for me, it was clear that there won't be many elements that have been changed in this edtion. I took this more as an opportunity to have a second copy of the rules around. The new elements won't come into play too soon, except maybe some spells and the changed mojh :).

I got the new book but was unenthralled by the races. I liked a couple of the classes (Champion, magister, Greenbond) and the unified magic system which had more flexibility, and the idea of the ceremonial feats, but that was all.

I've not actually used it for anything yet.

AE is a bigger book (clearly!) but I don't think I'll be paying for that. Eberron grabbed my attention more and that is much more likely to be my next campaign setting.

I am! (You knew that....)

But, in all seriousness, I could have just playtested it and left it there, continuing with AU. However, the option to head to 25 levels instead of 20 really intrigued me. The dracha fit a character type that one gaming buddy had been searching for "for twenty years." All the new stuff fits in easily and seamlessly, so I chose to include it on my own. (I've been gaming for 24 years, so if I don't want something, I chuck it fast.)

Arcana Evolved for me as well. Same thing as varianor, basically.

Of my players, one was left behind (for a group of 3/4th level characters) - The Greenbond, mainly because of the 2+INT skill points. The 4+INT in AE revitalize, rebalance this character. The combat rites are hugely interesting for my campaign. The Dracha as well answer a question I had for quite a while within my campaign's background (homebrew).

Evolution does indeed take time. It might take the 2 years (game time) during which the dragons return in order to truly begin. Though small bits of unearthed arcana might evolve at different rates. (translation: my campaign is not ready to jump 2 years into the future when the dragons have already returned. I may, however, have a player interested in the new Ritual Warrior class, and I am starting to lay down the foundation for the dragons returning at some point)
