I found Charles Ryan's statements interesting, and I give him something that I give to most posters on this board: the benefit of the doubt that he is being up front with me. I believe that Mike Mearls, Charles Ryan, and the other people in this thread are speaking based on what they know and what they believe. Also, incredible claims require incredible proof. So, while anything is possible, I am leaning very heavily towards the WoTC is not for sale position and that 4E is not going to be released very soon -- based on my interpretation of the data. (Your interpretations may very from mine.)


BelenUmeria, I know that you are a WotC delegate. Would you be interested in stopping by the Attracting New People to Gaming -- Ideas and Stragegies thread referenced with my sig and share some of your opinions on how we can get more people to the gaming table.?


buzzard, you do make a good point. I think that Living Greyhawk is succesful for the RPGA, but it is possible that WotC could do a hardcover incorporating the changes to the setting reflected in the campaign. However, Greyhawk fandom is VERY divided on what they consider to be canon Greyhawk.

I would not go that far. I see Waldorf pointing out that in any large corporation, which would describe Hasbro, there is an unequal distribution of information. Some decisions are made with full input from everyone concerned and some are made exclusively at one level or another, without other input (even decisions that might, or should "logically," appear to be able to benefit from such input). Dilbert is popular because it often rings true. I can't speak for Hasbro, of course.
