Haste, should it age you?

IMHO, haste is broken. But so is, imho, a whole bucketload of spells and magic items. In a campaign where every day has so many encounters under such circumstances that the hasted sorcerer and the machine-gunner... err... hasted archer do not dominate the party, then haste may an ok spell.
I don't play the "average" game. IMC, many things, especially treasure levels, would be broken if I used them right out of the book. I have to check everything before I enter it in may game, to see if it broken, or would break my game, so I don't see any problem with houseruling a spell.

You can't say haste (or whatever) isn't broken because everyone (emphasis added) will house rule it. The point is, if I pay money for a game it shouldn't be fatally flawed. I shouldn't have to house rule a game just to make it playable.

Actually, as of this post, 54% of ENWorld says that the spell is fine. You just don't see it because the people who are happy with something don't think anything needs to be said.

If I'm reading you right, you misinterpreted what I meant. :)

My point is that this argument:

a. If a spell is considered broken, people will house rule it so it isn't.
b. Some people consider haste broken.
c. Those people could house rule haste.
Therefore:
d. Haste is not broken.

Is not vaild. All games, including RPG, must be playable out-of-the-box. Arguing house rules will prevent a game from being badly designed is lazy and unethical game design.

When haste becomes a level 3 mass haste and gives an extra full action instead of a partial, it should age you.

A valid argument.

For those who don't get it, 1E/2E haste affected an area (like slow or mass haste) and doubled the number of attacks you got (rather than giving you one extra).

Then, yes, a very valid argument.
