I'm just hoping that this obviously evil person does not have his gaze directed at me today (or any other day for that matter).

Swedish national holiday today, when the celebrate the fact that... ummmm... well... they don't know. But everyone else has a holiday on their national day, so now they do too. Perhaps they are celebrating the fact that nothing ever happened on this particular day in their history? This is the day they managed not to fight (and lose or win) any particular war or battle, no particular treaty signed, no one of any importance died, no civil uprising, no overturning of any tyrant.

Its a conspiracy, I tell you.

There are a few things that happened on June 6th in Swedish history. I think the most notable ones are that Gustav Vasa was declared king on that date in 1523 (thereby breaking our union with Denmark), and the new Form of Government basic law (sort of like the Constitution) was signed into effect on that day in 1809.

What if he's staring at your butt?

My advice: Avoid bending over. And it's not the pitchfork you should be worrying about. :]

I was going to go see The Omen tonight, but forgot that it was regular CoH team night (Issue 7 hit the live servers this morning, so it was indeed a devil of a time doing certain things, through...). I'll go tomorrow or Thursday and see it.

Hey cool. I like hearing things like this about other countries. Thanks for the lesson Staffan. Also, Sweden was around in 1523? Wow, I sometimes forget what a young country the US is...
