At least with Y2K, they build up the hype, scrambling to make sure PCs will survive post-Y2K.

The 6/6/06 just kinda snuck up on a few weeks before. It only scrambled expecting mothers to either induce or delay birth so the newborns do not have such a birthdate.

Personally, I'm disappointed by the sinister hacker community for not creating and unleashing a .666 virus.
