LotR hasn't spoiled me.

i can't be spoiled by watching poor interpretations of novels. :p

Excalibur spoiled me....except the Grail Quest part....Galahad found the Grail in my book.

Tell me, Diaglo, do you try to be an ass, or is it just unintentional? Because Percival was the original Grail knight. Galahad is a later creation, and a good example of the things that happen when twelve or so seperate myths get sewn together in one big epic, over a period of centuries by upwards of thirty different writers. In a situation like that it's choose what you like best...

(Sorry if my momentery heat offends some, but I find people who don't understand how to write a movie complaining about writing a movie rather... irritating...)

I don't think that it's spoiled us so much as set the bar for the next great fantasy film...not that I think that this bar can be passed. It is, after all, based on the greatest fantasy story ever written. Now what if they do an interperetation of 'The Silmarillion'..? :D

EDIT:

Actually, I think a movie series based on Larry Niven's Ringworld would be a good bet, if they did it right.

I'm one of the few who have never seen Casablanca. .[/QUOTE]

Casablanca is so good, that the LotR trilogy has joined it in a tie for my favorite movie of all time.

Back on topic - I would love to see The Black Company done; I think that could be spectacular if done well. I hope the next D&D movie is at least good.
