Have we lost our sense of wonder about 30th level LeShay fighters in Scarred Lands?

Is it just me, or is powergaming just not as much fun as it used to be? I feel more like an accountant than a hero here with all these magic items, feats and special abilities to juggle.

CM or ENW, my feeling is the same. Playing a 30th level LeShay fighter in the Scarred Lands just isn't as fun as it used to be. I blame Wizards of the Coast. Somehow they've ruined my fun for me. I'm not sure what they did, but it's their fault somehow!

I think that “accountant” should be a template. Obviously, such a template would have to raise the effective CR of those infected by at least 30 levels.

I have trouble understanding how a level 30 anything would be any fun at all. Give me something 1st-3rd level any day over that. I like a challenge, not a bash-fest. If I want to kill mass quantities of creatures, I'll go play Diablo.
