Have we seen MM3 cover yet?

I just saw this on amazon, don't remember seeing it before now.

It's got LLoth I guess...

I expected Grazz't

Lolth was announced as the cover last year but this is the first time I have seen it. Graz'zt is highly unlikely to get a guernsey as he was in Manual of the Planes, IIRC.

Yes he was, along with a few others.

I, for one, am happy the MMs are getting away from the big baddie being a demon lord. Maybe in MM4 they'll drop in some giant far-realm or starlock themed creature. Arcanamar, level 35 or something like that.

Oh yes, forgot about old Grazz't being in the MotP

Pretty good picture of LLoth, if your like into spider chicks and all...

I look forward to seeing BBEGs on the cover of MMs. :) I like how your PCs can rub elbows and even slay these threats, even if the campaign may take a while. :)

I wonder who'll be on the cover of MM4? What other traditional BBEGs are still out there?

I'm still betting on Asmodeus for the cover of Monster Manual 4 and WotC launching a new adventure path based on Devils.

If they do put Asmodeus on a cover, I hope they give him a serious re-imagining (preferably by someone other than Wayne Reynolds). I never liked the 3E portrayal of Asmodeus.

Also, I like the MM3 Lolth cover better than MM2 Demogorgon and much better than MM1 Orcus. It's funny... used to be, fantasy art portrayed male characters in a fairly realistic way while female characters were often grotesquely misproportioned. These days, it's frequently the other way around; female characters look more or less human while male characters are apt to have feet like tree stumps and fists as big as their heads.

(Hey, I wonder if we'll get a DDM bebilith now...)
