The Good
This goblin skull can hold up to eight different paints in cups. It's got a cover so you can keep the unsightly cups covered and away from debris (a common problem if you're painting miniatures and clipping sprues). It's solid enough that it won't easily be knocked over and has a low enough profile so that it's out of the way.The Bad
Listed as a "vampire," judging by the color scheme it's pretty clear this paint holder is a goblin. While the skull has fangs, they don't scream vampire fangs to me. It's originally for tattoo paint, so the cups aren't particularly large -- though fine for my purposes when painting miniatures. It doesn't come with paint cups, which s rather important if you plan to use this more than once.Should You Buy It?
I decided to repaint it to bring out more of the details. But while it was outside drying, the wind picked it up and smashed it across the pavement. Ironically, this only enhances the skull effect (a part of the nose chipped and the ear), so I just painted over the damage. Overall, I'm happy with it, and it's a perfect (if somewhat macabre) addition to my hobby space. You can purchase this paint cup holder for under ten bucks at Amazon.
